A cartoon of Donald Trump driving a Tesla Cybertruck down a windy, mountain road (similar to Colorado's 'million dollar highway'); in the back sit Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Shou Zi Chew.
A series of preliminary sketches for the illustration.

*sigh*

Dork MAGA. That's what I call these guys.

This was commissioned by The Hollywood Reporter for an article about the rise of a Trump-aligned "tech broligarchy". For people who love/hate to chew on this stuff, Shane Almgren has written about the Trump/Vance/Musk/Thiel/Yarvin connection; and there's a good FakedUp piece on Zuck's kowtowing to Trump by ending Meta's fact-checking program.

But if you don't enjoy ruminating on the ruination of the American government, well, I hope you at least enjoy the stupid drawing.

I've included some of the thumbnails along with the tightened-up compositional sketches. I thought at the thumbnail stage that #1 was definitely going to be the pick -- but when I worked it up into a tighter comp I lost the energy. It happens!

This one should be indexed at the home page, and at year P.
The article this was commissioned for is over at The Hollywood Reporter.
